A note from Molly: Why I stopped settling for "good enough"
I used to think that a long soak in any Epsom salt was the ultimate self-care. But as I dove deeper into the world of wellness and manufacturing, I started noticing things that didn't sit right with me.
The neon-colored salts, the heavy plastic bags that live forever in landfills, and that "mystery fragrance" that felt more like a chemical cloud than a calming ritual.
It made me realize that while I was trying to recover my body, I was inadvertently exposing myself to things it didn't need.
I knew we deserved better.
That realization is what shaped the soul of 8 Elephants by Molly. I decided that "better-for-you" had to be the baseline, not the exception. For us, that means:
Purity in the Pour: Replacing synthetic dyes with whole, ground organic plants (the "tea" your skin has been craving).
Mineral Integrity: Using ethically sourced, fine-grain magnesium that dissolves instantly to support those shaky muscles after a long run or a day on your feet.
Closing the Loop: Moving away from plastic and choosing compostable materials and algae ink, because we can't truly be well if our environment isn't.
Making the switch to intentional ingredients changed the way I show up for myself, and I hope it does the same for you. Whether you’re recovering from a high-mileage morning or just a heavy week, you shouldn't have to guess if your "self-care" is actually safe.
Thank you for being part of this journey toward a cleaner, more conscious way to recover.
With love,
Molly
