My Rule of Thumb on Scents
Whenever I am face-to-face with potential customers I talk about my "rule of thumb" for proper usage and safety. Just because something is natural does not mean everyone will handle it the same and little ones have specific needs.
For kiddos 6 and older I make products with scents. Even natural scents can be potent and I want to ensure safety for all ages when using my products.
Most of the blends we create are designed with sensitive skin in mind but to be on the extra-cautious side I set our cut-off at 6+.

Safety Tips for Kids 6+
Always Dilute: Never apply "neat" (undiluted) oils to a child's skin. Use a carrier oil like coconut, jojoba, almond oil or castor oil. We often use apricot kernel oil as it is a gentle one.
Intermittent Diffusion: Limit diffuser use to 30–60 minutes at a time in a well-ventilated room.
Patch Test: Apply a small amount of diluted oil to a patch of skin and wait 24 hours to check for any adverse reactions.
Oils to Use with Caution: While peppermint and eucalyptus (Eucalyptus radiata) are generally okay for ages 6+, they should still be used in low concentrations and kept away from the face to avoid respiratory irritation.
Hope this helps and have a wonderful day!
