Why Sports Recovery Matters More Than Ever
When I started 8 Elephants by Molly, I wasn't trying to create just another bath soak.
I wanted to create a simple ritual that helps people slow down, recover, and reconnect with themselves.
As someone who practices and teaches martial arts, spends time outdoors, and believes movement is one of life's greatest gifts, I've learned that recovery is what allows us to keep doing the things we love. It is easy to focus on the next workout, the next project, or the next responsibility. It is much harder to remember to care for ourselves in the process.
That is why every blend is handcrafted with thoughtfully selected ingredients, including premium Epsom salts, botanical essential oils, and skin-loving botanicals. Every ingredient has a purpose, and every product is packaged with sustainability in mind because I believe caring for ourselves and caring for the planet should go hand in hand.
You do not have to be an elite athlete to deserve recovery.
Maybe your workout is lifting weights.
Maybe it is a yoga class.
Maybe it is gardening all afternoon.
Maybe it is standing through a long shift, chasing little ones around the house, or simply making it through another busy week.
To me, that is what I mean when I say "the athlete in all of us."
A warm Epsom salt soak can help soothe tired muscles, encourage relaxation, soften your skin, and create space to simply breathe for a little while. Sometimes twenty quiet minutes is exactly what your body and mind have been asking for.
Thank you for being part of this journey and for supporting a small artisan business that believes wellness should feel intentional, sustainable, and approachable.
Here's to moving well, recovering well, and living well.
With gratitude,
Molly

While many people enjoy Epsom salt baths for relaxation and post-exercise comfort, evidence that magnesium is absorbed through the skin in meaningful amounts is limited. Our products are intended to support relaxation and self-care and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
